Leopoldskron Palace (Schloss Leopoldskron) in Salzburg, Austria. In the foreground is the frozen over lake during winter. Picturesquely situated Schloss Leopoldskron lies just a few minutes’ walk from the Salzburg historical district, the world-famous former family seat of one of the prince-archbishops as well as an original shooting location from the movie “The Sound of Music”. The rear view was used for the Trapp family home and also where the scene of the children falling into the lake was shot.
